Hi Jane,We had a wonderful day with
Vasillis. His English was great and he was such a pleasant guy to be with. The
benefit of being on a private tour is that you get to talk to locals and get to
understand the local life in addition to the usual sightseeing. He was superb
in both aspects. Unforgettable day - a great job of finding Vasilis for us.
Thank you from our group and I
am looking forward to working with you in the future! We loved Athens also and
would love to come back and have a tour.
Sincerely,

Your
professionalism as a booking agent has made us very confident we will receive
the quality tour and transportation we were looking for. That is very important
to us when trying to make arrangements for travel in a place which we are not at
all familiar.

outstanding! Your service was greatly appreciated. LK

Hi Folks, My
daughter and I attended a wedding in Rhodes on October 27, 2008 and had only a
short time on our return to Canada to see some of Athens . We went on a 6-hour
evening tour arranged by Greecetaxi. Our guide, Theo Apostolopoulos, who picked
us up at the airport, was a great gentleman, a marvelous host, and a wonderful
guide. He was so concerned that we would be happy with our tour and we certainly
were. At the end of the tour, I commented to Theo that I thought he was a Greek
history professor, with an English major, who was doing part-time tour guiding.
He was very good and quite kind and concerned. When I plan my next trip to
Greece , my first duty will be to consult with GreecePrivate for more great tours!
Thanks very much to all, and a special thank-you to Theo, John and Melissa Dawe

Jane, I just wanted to send you a
short note to thank you very much for arranging for Vayias Nicolaides to lead
our tour of Athens on May 5th, 2008. He was a wonderful guide and we enjoyed
our day tremendously. He knew exactly where to drop us and when to pick us up
and was very informative on the history and sites we were able to see in our
short time in Athens . We enjoyed being able to get to Corinth too and he had us
back to the boat in plenty of time. Thank you again. We will make sure to
recommend you and your company to our friends and comrades who are thinking of
visiting Greece . Sincerely,

Dear Jane and
Nicholas,
I am sorry
for not writing you a personal letter as I did not have your personal address. I just wanted you to know what an enjoyable trip Mary Ann, Cathy and I had with
you. Thank you for all of your hard work in making our accommodations
meet
OUR needs. Jane thank you for making last minute reservations to Athens and
getting us where we needed to go. Nicholas, thank you for all of your hard work
and making our trip a memorable one!! The trip will be one we will never
forget...the food, the wine, the spectacular scenery and above all the wonderful
people along the way. Jane, I just love my pin, and have gotten so many
compliments.
Thank you for your
thoughtfulness. We hope we will see you again soon. If you get to the US,
please don't hesitate to call us..
I just
don't think we could ever return the hospitality. Thank you again. We refer
your company to everyone we talk to that want to travel to Greece. I know you
are so proud of what you provide for so many people.
Thanks again, Lisa Williams

We just got back
from our trip and wanted to thank you so much for such a wonderful time.
Christos was a wonderful driver and provided us with a lot of information and
arranged great guides at the acropolis and in Delphi . I would certainly
recommend your company to anyone who is going to come the Greece . We were
thrilled not to be with those huge bus tours and kept saying how grateful we
were that we had found you. Thank you again for helping us to make our family
vacation one of the best ever. Sincerely, Renae Jacobs

We enjoyed
our day with him.
Thank you very
much for your wonderful service. My son even bought a jersey of Kostas' favorite

Dear Jane,
greetings from Singapore. As for Nikos, we enjoyed his company very much. He was
a very safe driver and he kept his SUV very clean throughout. In fact, we
observed that most cars were very dusty. He had a good knowledge of the key
sights and we commend him for his recommendations on where to eat. We enjoyed
every meal he recommended. We also enjoyed the country roads he took as the
views were
fabulous.

Dear Friends, We want to let you know that
both tours you arranged for us -- Katakolon/
Olympia and Athens -- were
excellent. Takis and Tony both went way beyond the call of duty to provide
exactly the kind of experience we were hoping to get. My friend Coralie De Marco
of CDM Travel in Melbourne Australia recommended you and I have already thanked
her for the contact. I would
like to add a link to you from my own page:

I would be grateful if you would add

Thanks again for two very special
days!
Just wanted to say thanks again to Nicolas and Jane - Jane for getting
us set up with the hotels along our stay in mainland Greece, Nic for his
excellent driving and information along the trip. We were picked up by
Nic at the Athens airport and he helped us get our copious luggage into
his Mercedes (Vito?) van, and we set out on our journey to Delphi,
Olympia, and back to Athens over the next several days. It was a great
trip, Nic has a great selection of cafes and tavernas to choose from
along the way, the hotel selection was great, and we had absolutely no
complaints. The route selections he drove were scenic and largely
relaxing (outside of a few hairpin turns in the mountains that Nic
negotiated wonderfully!) After the usual ice-breaking period, we found
Nic to be professional, but humorous, and we couldn't have found a
better choice for the trip. Thanks again to everybody at

Jane, I wanted to write and tell you what a wonderful time we had on our
tour with Christos. He was very knowledgeable about everything. His
driving skills were excellent, and he knew his way around so well that
we were able to see everything that we wanted and still have time
remaining.
I would highly recommend both your service and Christos to anyone that
we know that is coming to Athens (And also tell them to use the link on
your web site for a tour of Santorini)
Thank you again for making our experience in Athens a memorable one.

Hello. We just wanted to extend a sincere
thank you to Christos and Greece private taxi! We had a fantastic day
together in Athens. Christos greeted us at our cruise terminal and
kindly showed us all around Athens the entire day! He was so kind and
polite he felt like family! We could never have had this good of day
without your tour! When we got back on our ship that night all of our
friends were jealous of our day! We will, and have already recommended
your service! Thanks again. Yiasas! Chris and Angela Wilson, Vista, CA

I am writing to
say how much we enjoyed our tour with Christos on May 28th. As the
weather was very rainy that day, we did not go to Cape Sounion as planned.
Instead he drove us all around Athens and we were able to visit the National
Museum. I had been in Athens for a week in June 1990 so it was interesting to
me to see how the city had changed in 17 years. It was nice to have a private
driver with the flexibility to change our plans based on the weather and to get
such a nice tour of the city. Thanks, Alice Gander

Hi Nikolaos, I wanted to drop a quick note to thank you again for all your
time and efforts to make my family's vacation in Greece so fun and memorable.
Your knowledge, company, and choices were all outstanding; and I would
unhesitatingly recommend you and your service to anyone wishing to tour Greece.
You made it possible (and enjoyable) to cover more of Greece, in less time, than
I would have believed. Again, thank you very much.-- Vojin

Dear Nicolas: A
quick note of thanks. I just returned home to Montreal, Canada after 6 weeks
away in Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean. A highlight of our trip was most
definitely Athens, a city of beauty and style so unlike any other. I look
forward to returning for a week long stay in 2008. The trip to Athens was
highlighted by such a charming, knowledgeable and welcoming guide – Christos.
He got us access to places we did not think we could get into (like the
Stadium). He was simply the best guide we had in our 6 weeks and multiple
guides. Greece Private is highly recommended to any traveler seeking a private
guide and private, comfortable transport. Many thanks for such a great service.

Dear Niko,
Thank you so much for our wonderful week touring Greece. We've never had a
family vacation that was as much fun for us as it was for the kids... and such
an awesome education for all of us! The mini-bus was perfect for the 5 of us -
so nice not to have to drive, or be stuck on one of those big tour buses!
Being able to go on smaller roads and places where most of the tourist don't
see made us feel like we were seeing the real Greece - and it was great to
have someone who loves their country, and its history, to show it to us. It
was the best family vacation we've ever had - no stress for us, lots of fun,
great food and beautiful places.....thank you !!! With fond regards,
Michael, Jo, Michael, Tim and Annabelle Cousins/ Norway michaelc@broadpark.no
Dear Nicolas, Hope this letter finds you and your family well. I wanted to
take a moment to thank you again. We had a very nice tour and I know I couldn't
have come close to making it as smooth and organized without you. You're good at
what you do, and I'll be very ready to refer others to you. All in
all, a very good trip to Greece, and I appreciate your part in it. Best,
Guy Kay. Dear Niko, Just wanted
to drop a line to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay in Greece and offer
our appreciation to you for the trip you prepared for us. I feel we saw many
places that most tourists to Greece don't get to see and that aspect made it
particularly special. However, I'm fully prepared to return to Greece one
day as I felt really comfortable there. I may consider it as a skiing
destination one day - never knowing before that skiing did indeed exist there.
Enjoy the holiday with your family. Should you ever pass through Canada one day
(Toronto in particular), I hope that you will let us know. Regards, Laura Kay.
Happy 2007
- New Year Jane. I wanted to send you our thanks for such a WONDERFUL
visit to Greece. We are telling everyone we know about Christos
and Nicolas! We promised to send them pictures of the
LARGE fish we passed en route to Delphi. So, I have attached that
picture along with two of us from their tours! If you ever need someone
to write a recommendation for your business, please let us know. We hope
that your mother and sister returned safely to English. It was such a
pleasure to meet them and your two children. I know you will be most
happy once you are settled in your new beautiful house! Cheers and thank
you again! Nancy and Scott Laidlaw

Dear
Niko, I am writing to you in the hope that you will share my comments
with persons wishing a reference for your tours of Greece.
You may duplicate and distribute the following as you may find
appropriate.
“We
were a group of four American experienced travelers but none of us had ever
visited Greece before May of
2005. In setting up our tour we put ourselves in Nicolas’ hands for ten days
and could not have been more pleased. In consultation with us he planned our
itinerary, selected hotels, places to eat and sites to visit. His careful work
and consideration resulted in a simply outstanding vacation. We were impressed
with Nicolas’ knowledge of Greece from both a historical and current day
perspective. He knows a great deal and he is articulate even to the extent of
appreciating the subtle nuances of English. We toured in his Mercedes Benz van
and felt safe with his driving habits even as we wound through small roads up
and down mountainsides and through villages that could barely accommodate a
single car. One member of our group had some special needs in terms of not being
able to walk well and so Nicolas took special attention to finding ways that she
could enjoy the places that were unreachable for her by foot. Time and space do
not allow my sharing with you my thoughts about all the magnificent ancient
sites we visited but I will say they were even more spectacular than I
remembered from the many texts and photographs I have seen. In making our decision to tour with Nicolas as
opposed to taking a cruise or a tour bus we decided that having a personal and
knowledgeable person leading us and staying in smaller villages and eating the
foods that the people of Greece eat would be better than being on a large ship
and partaking in the 24 hour buffets of mostly American food or stopping at
restaurants that could accommodate large buses. As the trip concluded we
congratulated each other on making a wise decision. Nicolas is a very talented
individual and you must insist that as part of your tour he shows you his
photographs of a Greece that you can’t
possibly see in one tour. He has captured the seasons and the whole country of
beautiful scenery. He also does some fine drawings and again we urge you to ask
him to show you some of his artwork.
We found Nicolas to be
completely reliable, considerate, well spoken and very wholesome. If we plan to
return to Greece to see other
parts of this wonderful country, as we may well do, we would have no reservation
at all about reengaging him.”
Niko, the
Morrison’s and the Ringel’s appreciate all the many ways in which
you made our visit to Greece so special. As I promised I have just purchased a
copy of Why People Believe Weird Things (remember the book that talked about
religion and science and aliens visiting earth?) and I wish to send it to you as
a gift. Please give me a good mailing address so that I can get the material to
you. I am also including some photographs that I took of Greece and I want you
to appreciate that you have real competition in the field of photography. Your
work is great and my work is…(I’ll let you fill in
the correct adjectives). If you would like to use some of these photographs on
your website, you may do so. The only restriction is that if the photograph wins
a national prize you will have to acknowledge my artistic mastery. Best regards
to Jane.

Dear Nicholas, Jinny and I wish
to thank you for a memorable five day trip in Greece. We were impressed with
your professionalism both in driving and relating the history of your land. It
is difficult to say what part was most memorable. I particularly enjoyed Meteora,

pictures you took. Of particular interest are those of the monks. If anyone

I spoke
to our local wood stove expert. He had nothing but promotional material for
particular stoves or fireplaces. I did however go onto "Goggle", and "Ask Jeeves"

is better sorted by you than me. A couple sites, particularly from Canada,
looked excellent. If there is anything specific I can research for you let me
know. Your method of house construction should be reviewed by builders in
Florida and our Gulf Coast. Yours appears to me, hurricane proof. Best regards

Dear Nicola, Thanks for a great trip. We're trying hard to adjust to
being home. We've been very busy looking at all the slides Allen took,
reminiscing, and trying to hold on to the wonderful memories. We even
went to a Greek festival at a local church hoping to have some of that
wonderful food, but even though it was named the same ie. mousaka etc.
it wasn't as good as all those wonderful tavernas you took us to. I hope
Chris relayed my messages about the islands and the Villa brochure. I
wanted to call Jane and give her my impressions, but Chris discouraged
me from doing that saying he would tell you himself. We hope you have a

Nickolas, Tom and I want to
thank you so much for a delightful 3 days in the Peloponnesus region with
you. Your history lessons made the sights we saw that much more interesting.
And, eating in authentic Greek restaurants with very good home made food was
terrific. Tom and I can't get enough of those Greek salads. Too bad our
tomatoes don't taste like yours. We loved riding in the comfort of your
Mercedes - you are a careful and considerate driver. The two nights that we
spent in the Pension were wonderful. Nafplion is such a charming village and
the location of the Pension, overlooking the village, was perfect. Rereading
your website makes me realize how good it is. You know how we talked about
reading about something, then seeing it, then reading it again making it all
so much clearer. We congratulate Greece on winning the European
championship in Soccer. That makes both of us winners since our Basketball
team in Michigan won the National title, too. We hope you have a good summer
with your Olympic activities. Thanks again so much for enhancing our Greek
adventure. Tom and Judy Lewis

Hi Nicolas. I just wanted to let you know that
we're home. A real good trip. As I
told Lew, a trip unlike any other I've had. Due to
Nikos, thank you sir. How many American tourists
can say they've stayed in Arachova? It was one of
my favorite evenings. And the drive out along the
coast to Sounion with all the beautiful scenery and all
the open-air seafood restaurants. (Nicolas, I will
try to find the article in Gourmet about this. It
would be a good reference to include on your website.) So
your copy of my "report" to my travel agent

Nicolas
is a real winner! He is personable, intelligent, and
thoughtful, he has a great sense of humor. He drives calmly and safely. He
is a family man and understands that he has to prove his
trustworthiness in order to succeed. He succeeds ,he is
absolutely trustworthy. He calls himself a taxi driver,
but I think that's a translation problem. He is
definitely not a taxi driver in our concept of the term.
He's a next-door neighbor, he' s a big brother, he's a
friend.>>

the fabulous time we had in Greece. As we all gathered together during

We went through all our pictures together and relived the trip once

Hi Nicolas! Just want
the readers of your Web site to know that I cannot praise highly enough
the wonderfully informative quality and the naturally friendly spirit of
the tour you gave my wife and me while we were in Greece in June of
2002. ...
DEAR READER, Nicolas' taxi was most comfortable; his manner of
driving always made you feel safe; and his knowledge of the sites we
asked him to show us was exceptional (it was even obvious that he had
done a lot of extra research before picking us up at our hotel). It was
our experience that Nicolas was willing to go out of his way to help us
love the country he himself obviously loves so much. He didn't have to
take us to out-of-the-way places like Aigosthena and Oedipus road , but
he did. Nicolas is a delightfully cordial and relaxed person, and
because of this I'm sure you'll relive many fine moments of the tour he
gives you. I know we do! Our day with Nicolas between Athens and Delphi
remains at the top of the list of our pleasantest times in Greece. Warm
regards, Bill Hoar, Northern State University, Aberdeen, South Dakota,

Hello Nikolas. Many
thanks for your efforts in making our trip to Greece most enjoyable.
The day we spent with you traveling to Delphi was pleasant and we
appreciated the additional stops and your knowledgeable commentary. We
all agreed that the restaurant you chose at Delphi for lunch provided
one of the tastiest meals of our trip. Our regards and thanks also to
Christos for his good-natured willingness to do additional

Hi Nick, it's hard to
believe that just a week ago we were packing and getting ready for our
long anticipated trip! Last night we were looking over the first batch
of photos we got back, reliving the wonderful days we spend with you in
your beautiful country. I am still amazed at how much we saw! We three
had a truly great time and I am especially glad that Andrei could
experience Greece and its history first hand. We appreciated your
knowledge of the ancient sites and loved listening to your stories. Your
choice of places was exactly what we had been looking for. (Although I
did not realize I was going to be so tired at the end of the day..)
The hotels we stayed in were perfect (I loved the Pension in
Napflio). And I am very happy that you added Meteora to the trip. The
views from the mountain tops are out of this world! Thank you for being
such a good companion and driver! Please give our regards and thanks to Christos for the pleasant days we spend with him.
Good luck in the future - and maybe to a return for us? 8/10/2002 Yassou!

our friends!!! We loved meeting your wonderful family and came away with
the hope we will all meet again. Bermuda is hot and humid and we long
for the dry heat of Greece. We are getting back into the routine of
daily life and are beginning to think about taking Nicola back up to
school in New Hampshire at the end of the month and seeing our new
house. I hope your business is doing well and you had some time off with
your family. Thanks for the photographs! What
a great dinner that was in Nafplion. Please keep in touch (as will we) and hope to see you over our way soon.
Best wishes. Colin, Renate and

Hi Nikolas,
Well, we are now home and trying to recover from jet lag. We got out of
Athens at 11:30 instead of 12 because the air traffic controllers were
going on strike at 12. That was a close one! The rest of the trip went
very smoothly although Helyn was not well and it was very hard on her.
She went to the doctor ... it is not good news at all. Thank you for all
your help and patience with her health issues. The trip meant a great
deal to them and was the fulfillment of a fifteen year dream for her and
I. We really appreciated your service. I don't think Helen could have
made the trip on a regular coach tour. You are a good driver and
negotiated the traffic and directions with such ease! We would never
even think of driving in Athens after seeing the traffic and the mazes
of streets. The weeklong tour was fabulous. It far exceeded our
expectations and took us to places that we would have missed on our own
or with other organized tours. One of the best parts was the flexibility
we had to stop when we wanted and to go when we were finished. It really
beat having to wait around for fifty other people on a tour bus and I
don't think the trip cost any more than if we had gone on a large tour.
Thank you for all the help and for sharing so many of your favorite
places with us. It was a great trip. We would be glad to recommend you
and your service to anyone. Sincerely, Debi and Jim Linker

PS: you are a good artist and should really keep going
with it. Thank you for sharing your work with us.
